Child support specialist for families across Australia
My office is in Melbourne CBD, but a significant share of my clients are in Sydney, Brisbane, and regional Australia. Most matters can be handled entirely by phone and video — which keeps things flexible and affordable for clients no matter where you are.
Local guidance, wherever you are
Pick your city for local court details, service-delivery options, and answers to questions specific to your region.
Melbourne & Victoria
Office in Melbourne CBD by appointment. In-person, phone, or video consultations. Federal Circuit and Family Court — Melbourne registry.
Sydney & New South Wales
Phone and video consultations Australia-wide. Sydney clients welcome — same specialist, same advice, no travel needed. Lionel Bowen Commonwealth Law Courts (Sydney).
Brisbane & Queensland
Brisbane families have access to the same specialist guidance via phone and video. Commonwealth Law Courts Building, North Quay (Brisbane).
Distance is not a barrier
Child support is governed by Commonwealth legislation — the same Child Support (Assessment) Act and Child Support (Registration and Collection) Act apply whether you live in Hobart or Cairns. Services Australia administers it nationally, the Administrative Review Tribunal sits in every capital, and Federal Circuit and Family Court appeals follow the same path everywhere.
That means I can advise a Sydney parent or a Brisbane parent the same way I advise a Melbourne one. The vast majority of my work — reviewing assessments, drafting submissions, preparing for ART hearings, advising on agreements — is done remotely. Calls run on whatever you prefer (phone, Zoom, Google Meet). Documents go by email or shared drive. Hearings, when they happen, are usually conducted by video or phone these days anyway.
Coming to Melbourne is rarely necessary
Some clients prefer to meet face-to-face for the first conversation, and you're welcome to come to my Melbourne office. But for most matters — even complex ones involving trusts, companies, or international elements — there's no practical advantage to being in the same room. The work is the same, the costs are lower, and you don't lose a day to travel.
For the small subset of clients in Sydney or Brisbane who do prefer in-person, I'm happy to discuss options when I'm visiting, or to recommend a local solicitor for the in-person elements while I handle the child support strategy remotely.
Wherever you are, let's start with a chat
The first conversation is free and takes about 20 minutes. If we're a fit, we'll keep going. If not, you'll still walk away with a clearer picture of where you stand.
